Users can initiate access to games and apps within the metaverse directly through the browser.
According to Paul Thomas, the founder of Somnia, the Metaverse Browser allows users to access the Somnia network and explore its numerous consumer applications. Its design focuses on providing a web3 onboarding experience that is more accommodating and familiar to web2 users.
This browser not only enhances the user experience within the metaverse but also simplifies the process of designing and launching applications. With this browser, anyone can create their own avatars, characters, virtual storefronts, and complete metaverse landscapes more efficiently.
Accompanying the launch of the Metaverse Browser is a significant initiative called the Somnia Point Dream Hunt. This program allows users to earn points by engaging with metaverse experiences. Additionally, a new collaboration between Yuga Labs and Somnia enables holders of specific Yuga Labs NFT collections to receive bonuses on any points earned during the campaign.
The Somnia Metaverse Browser is currently available for download on PC and Mac, and a mobile version is also in development.
