Oasys, a blockchain network focused on gaming, is collaborating with SBINFT Market, an NFT marketplace managed by a division of SBI Group, in order to expand the cryptocurrency gaming sector in Japan. Oasys has garnered attention from major players in the traditional video game industry such as Sega, Bandai Namco, and Ubisoft, and is determined to grow the blockchain gaming sector in Japan.
The SBINFT Market, which initially integrated with Oasys’ HOME Verse, now supports assets from the Hub-Layer (layer-1) and MCH Verse (layer-2) blockchains. If approved by the platform, this will allow developers using Oasys to sell NFTs through the marketplace.
According to Oasys Director Daiki Moriyama, the SBINFT Market will only feature NFTs from authorized artists and Oasys-affiliated providers. Established in 2021, SBINFT permits the listing of tokenized assets in various categories such as digital art, music, event tickets, and in-game items. It also facilitates credit card and cryptocurrency transactions, and supports NFTs on Polygon and Ethereum.
Some notable initiatives by Oasys include the network’s OASYX NFT collection and the upcoming game Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles by Ubisoft, the gaming giant responsible for the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
