Stripe, the popular payment platform, has partnered with blockchain network Avalanche to offer customers the ability to purchase AVAX directly. This integration allows users to complete AVAX transactions without the need for a cryptocurrency exchange.
Stripe had been rumored to reintroduce cryptocurrency payments, and now it has made a comeback with the support of the USDC stablecoin running on Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon blockchains. Co-founder John Collison believes that this move has significantly enhanced the company’s service.
To streamline the process, Stripe’s fiat-to-crypto onramp has been integrated into Avalanche’s ecosystem, particularly its Core wallet. Users can fund their wallets through various methods, such as ACH transfers and debit/credit cards.
Avalanche and Stripe have implemented user-configurable widgets into DEXes, NFT platforms, and digital wallets developed by Avalanche. This integration simplifies the process of purchasing AVAX using Stripe for users who are interested in creating a Core wallet.
By addressing the issue of initial funding, this partnership aims to facilitate the entry of new users into the Web3.0 ecosystem.
