The launch of the MVP Mainnet for Chromia has been officially announced, with its relational blockchain network set to be live on July 16. This launch not only signifies the inception of the native CHR token but also lays the foundation for the entire Chromia network. Through the MVP Mainnet, the integration of the existing CHR token, which currently exists as BEP-20 on BNB Chain and ERC-20 on Ethereum, will be made possible.
When the MVP Mainnet goes live, it will activate essential core functions for CHR, critical for the security and operations of the network. Transactions such as provider payments and network hosting fees will be exclusively processed through Chromia’s MVP Mainnet.
Chromia’s co-founders Henrik Hjelte and Alex Mizrahi highlighted the innovation behind ChromaWay’s relational blockchain technology, which revolutionizes data organization on-chain, simplifying complex searches and computations while eliminating the need for RPC servers, data availability layers, and third-party indexing services.
Differentiating itself from other platforms, Chromia redefines traditional blockchain economics by enabling developers to “lease” resource containers, empowering them to generate revenue independently and lowering entry barriers for end users, creating new opportunities in the Web3 landscape. This approach maintains the blockchain’s permissionless and decentralized nature while delivering a more efficient user experience, allowing even non-crypto users to engage with decentralized applications.
As the MVP Mainnet activates core network functions, Chromia is expected to witness increased network activity. Ecosystem initiatives introducing dapps and facilitating asset bridging from EVM chains to Chromia will contribute to the growth of Total Value Locked (TVL) on the platform.
