Trump Administration Unveils Plans to Integrate USAID into Blockchain Technology

USAID will be the new USIHA from now on under the Trump administration.

The agency will be moving to blockchain for security and transparency purposes.

The Trump administration yet another announcement that made headlines today. It unveiled plans to change the name of the existing agency USAID, U.S. Agency for International Development, to USIHA, U.S. International Humanitarian Assistance. The administration is also planning to bring the agency onto the blockchain for security, transparency, and accountability.

The news came to light when WIRED reported that it verified a memo circulating among the State Department. Trump’s presidency has already brought a significant shift to the crypto industry with plans to establish a crypto token reserve. Now, the integration of blockchain into one of the leading agencies will further enhance the adoption of blockchain technology.

Reorganization of USAID Under Trump’s Rule

Ever since the formation of D.O.G.E. with Elon Muck as lead, several government agencies have witnessed considerable changes in their operations. Musk particularly focused on USAID over the last month and cut down unnecessary task force, which led to job losses for its employees.

As per the report from Politico, USAID eliminated several foreign aid contracts and concentrated its focus on other important global issues. Global health, food security, disaster management, and countering China. Its previous operations and development programs are labeled as inefficient and fragmented.

With the new reformation of the organization, Trump wants the agency to be involved in areas that are important for the country. Promoting international peace, stability, and economic opportunities that benefit Americans are its new goals. The agency also focuses on global threats such as the Coron pandemic.

The integration of blockchain into USAID not only promotes technological innovation but also demands accountability and transparency of its funds. Meanwhile, several people such as Linda Raftree and Giulio Coppi say that blockchain is unnecessary as it adds no value to the agency’s operations.
